Connectors

Aarvo is only as powerful as the data it has. Connectors are how financial data enters the platform - the more you connect, the more automation handles for you.

Bank connections

Aarvo uses open banking APIs to securely connect to your bank. You authorise read-only access through your bank's own authentication - Aarvo can never move money or make changes to your accounts.

Once connected, transactions import and stay in sync automatically. Connect as many accounts as your business uses - current accounts, savings, credit cards. Each is tracked separately but all feed into unified reporting.

Most major UK banks are supported. If your bank doesn't support open banking, upload transactions via CSV. Aarvo maps your columns to the required fields and imports the data.

Email connectors

Link your Gmail or Outlook account and Aarvo continuously scans for incoming invoices and receipts. When a financial document arrives in your inbox, Aarvo downloads it, stores it in your records, extracts the data (supplier, amount, date, line items, tax), and matches it to the corresponding bank transaction.

This runs in the background. Documents are processed without you needing to open Aarvo.

You can connect multiple email accounts per provider. Each connection shows its sync status and last sync time so you know data is flowing.

Mobile uploads

Upload receipts and documents directly from the Aarvo mobile app. Snap a photo of a receipt or bill and it flows into the same processing pipeline - data extraction, matching, and reconciliation.

Bulk document uploads

The Auto tab in Tasks handles scale. Drag and drop hundreds of invoices or receipts and Aarvo processes each one individually - extracting data, matching to bank transactions, and queuing for your review.

This is how you handle historical backlog or large batches of documents from clients, suppliers, or accountants.

How data flows

All connectors feed into the same pipeline:

1
Data arrives
Via bank sync, email scan, mobile upload, or bulk drop.
2
Extraction
Aarvo reads each document and extracts structured data.
3
Matching
Documents are matched to bank transactions.
4
Categorisation
Transactions are categorised and tax rates applied.
5
Review
Everything appears in Tasks for your confirmation.

The source doesn't matter - once data enters Aarvo, it's processed the same way regardless of how it got there.

Managing connections

View and manage all your active connections from workspace settings. You can disconnect any connector at any time. Disconnecting stops future syncing but preserves all data already imported.
